Aice Official Partner of NOC Indonesia, Supports Red and White Athletes at the 2024 Olympics

KOMPAS.com - Ice cream producer Aice Group has become a Worldwide Olympic Partner 2024 and the Official Ice Cream for the Indonesian contingent at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The support provided aligns with Aice's commitment to proving the quality and innovation of its products, as well as supporting national and international sports.

At a press conference that also marked the launch of their latest product, Aice Crispy Balls, the Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC), Raja Sapta Oktohari, appreciated Aice Group's support for Indonesian athletes.

"Collaboration between the private sector and national sports elements is one of the crucial keys to ensuring the success of Indonesia's sports achievements on the world stage," said Okto in Jakarta on Friday (5/7/2024).

"The concrete and active support from Aice is a tangible example of multi-stakeholder commitment to jointly advancing Indonesian sports," he added.

Meanwhile, Aice Group Chief Executive Officer, Jack Wang, expressed his honor in collaborating with NOC Indonesia to support the efforts of Indonesian athletes at the Olympics.

"The Paris Olympics is an international sports event eagerly awaited by many people. As an ice cream producer born and raised in Indonesia, we consistently support the development of national sports," he said.

"We wish the Indonesian team to win more medals at this year's Olympics. Aice invites the public to support Indonesian athletes who will compete. Together with Aice, heading to Paris, we cheer for Indonesia," said Wang.

Aice supports seven out of 29 Indonesian athletes who will compete in five sports at the Paris Olympics.

They are Diananda Choirunisa, Fathur Gustafian, Eko Yuli Irawan, Bernard Benyamin Van Aert, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Rinov Rivaldi, and Pitha Haningtyas Mentari. They will act as Aice brand ambassadors in the upcoming event.

One of the national weightlifting athletes set to depart, Eko Yuli Irawan, stated that Aice's support adds to his motivation.

He is determined to give his best effort to achieve the highest results at the Olympics.

As an Indonesian weightlifting athlete who has made history by qualifying for the Olympics four times, Eko aims to win many medals this year.

Eko's success brings hope for the development of weightlifting in Indonesia. Eko is a real example of determination and hard work, capable of bringing Indonesia to the global stage.

"Being part of the athletes representing Indonesia at the Paris Olympics again is an extraordinary pride, and having the opportunity to raise the Red and White flag on the Olympic stage is an invaluable honor," said Eko.

"The support we receive, including from Aice, is very meaningful and provides additional spirit for us to keep training hard and give our best on the Olympic stage. We will fight with all our strength to achieve outstanding achievements for Indonesia," said Eko Yuli.

A similar statement was made by Fathur Gustavian, a shooting athlete at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

"I highly appreciate the support given by Aice Group to Indonesian athletes at the Paris Olympics. Support from the private sector like Aice is very important in motivating and providing additional encouragement for athletes to achieve the highest achievements," said Fathur.

At the same event, badminton legends and gold medalists of the Barcelona 1992 Olympics, Susy Susanti and Alan Budikusuma, also gave their moral support to the Indonesian team athletes who will compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

"Our experience at the Barcelona 1992 Olympics showed that the dream of winning a gold medal can come true. This Indonesian team is the nation's heroes who bring hope to all Indonesians," said Susy.

"Our message to them is to give their best, maintain the spirit of never giving up, and believe in your abilities. Indonesia places great hope on your shoulders."
