jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Aice Got You! Panggung Crispymu! competition was successfully held in five major cities: Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Medan, and Surabaya. Hundreds of participants from various genres and age groups took part in the competition.
Aice believes this enthusiasm highlights a national need for authentic spaces of expression, especially for Generation Z.
Senior Brand Manager of Aice Group, Sylvana Zhong, said the competition has become a “vital laboratory” for Gen Z. “They dare to combine keroncong with a modern vibe or traditional dance with contemporary styles. Originality and sincerity are their main strengths,” Sylvana stated in her remarks on Monday (8/12).
Competition as a Fast Track to Credibility
Aice designed the traveling stage using a striking stage truck and mock-up decorations of Crispy Balls ice cream. The physical stage served as a communal space that balances the dominance of digital platforms.
Here, the solo-oriented character of Gen Z was clearly visible: they prefer performing individually rather than forming groups, unlike previous generations.
Genre exploration also grew rapidly. Richelle Kannitha Raharjo, an 18-year-old participant, drew attention after blending keroncong with modern pop.
The competition also offered credibility through a panel of professional judges, including Marcell Siahaan, Jovial da Lopez, and Nopek Novian. The judges evaluated musicality, visual appeal, and originality.
Marcell said the judging process was intense. “The level of competition is very high. Aice Got You! must continue,” he said.
Jovial added that each participant brought a unique character, while Nopek described the participants’ talents as “insane, cool, and bombastic.”
