Making CSR a Long-Term Business Focus, Aice Wins TOP CSR Awards 2025

Jakarta, IDN Times – Aice Group continues to strengthen its sustainable business strategy by making its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program an integral part of its growth direction.

Since beginning operations in 2015, Aice Group has launched several initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of its business partners, employees, and the broader community.

Over its 10 years in business, this ice cream manufacturer has applied ISO 26000 principles at its factories in Mojokerto, Cikarang, and Sei Mangkei.

This commitment is reflected in the implementation of a structured Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) system, a disciplined work culture, and a strong sense of social responsibility toward employees. For Aice, workplace safety is not just an obligation—it is part of the company’s core values.

“For us, CSR is not merely a support program, but a foundational pillar of the company to create a positive and sustainable impact for society and the environment,” said Sylvana Zhong, Senior Brand Manager of Aice Group, in a written statement on Tuesday (June 17, 2025).

1. Aice Group’s External CSR Programs

Aice’s CSR efforts extend beyond its internal operations, involving active social engagement with communities around its factory locations.

One of its flagship initiatives is the #15HariEsKrimAiceBerbagiSehat program, carried out monthly in collaboration with various community groups. Activities range from distributing ice cream and staple foods, to health education and participation in community sports events such as the Jakarta Running Festival and the Indonesia Junior League.

“This program is Aice’s main platform for promoting a healthy and active lifestyle to the public while unifying our various forms of social contribution into one integrated series of activities,” said Sylvana.

At the start of 2025, the scope of the program expanded to include social inclusion, through an event called Hari Berbagi Harapan (“Day of Sharing Hope”), involving children with Down syndrome.

In collaboration with the STY Foundation and Saraswati Learning Center, Aice hosted educational and inclusive sports activities that provided an equal and participatory space for children with special needs.

2. Aice’s Internal Sustainability Initiatives

Internally, Aice is also committed to creating a healthy work environment and supporting government efforts in combating infectious diseases.

This is done through regular training and health check-ups for employees—part of the company’s responsibility to safeguard employee welfare and maintain a productive, sustainable workplace.

According to Sylvana, all of Aice’s social initiatives are part of a long-term commitment to creating relevant and sustainable impact.

She emphasized that social responsibility is a strategic element deeply integrated into the company’s growth trajectory. She assured that Aice will remain consistent in making this vision a long-term movement.

“We believe sustainability must be approached collaboratively and directly address the needs of the community. We will continue to strengthen our CSR commitment through cross-sector collaboration and adaptive program development, as part of the company’s responsibility in supporting sustainable development in Indonesia,” Sylvana said.

3. Aice Wins TOP CSR Awards 2025

Thanks to its efforts, Aice Group was awarded the highest honor—Five-Star level—at the TOP CSR Awards 2025. This achievement also marks the fifth consecutive year that Aice has received the TOP CSR Awards.

This accolade confirms Aice’s position as the first ice cream company in Indonesia to consistently and progressively maintain a strong CSR track record over five straight years.

The Five-Star TOP CSR Award is a special recognition for companies that demonstrate a high alignment between CSR strategy and sustainable business growth, adherence to ISO 26000 social responsibility standards, adoption of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, and optimal implementation of Creating Shared Value (CSV).

At the same event, Aice Group CEO Jack Wang was once again honored with the TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2025 award—for the fourth year in a row.

This award recognizes his consistent leadership in integrating social values into corporate policies and business strategies, and his success in building a structured, relevant, and long-term CSR direction.

“We look for companies that don’t treat CSR as a side program but integrate it into their sustainable business model. Adaptive approaches, relevance to community needs, and long-term continuity are key assessment indicators,” said M. Lutfi Handayani, Chair of the 2025 TOP CSR Awards Committee.

Lutfi also praised Aice for demonstrating extraordinary consistency in running sustainable CSR programs and earning the TOP CSR award for five consecutive years.

He noted that Aice’s achievement of the Five-Star Award this year reflects a CSR implementation that is not only progressive but also fully integrated with the company’s business direction.

“Aice’s programs show consistency and depth in CSR implementation aligned with ESG principles. Their approach is systematic, needs-based, and long-term. With five consecutive years of recognition, Aice proves that integrating CSR into corporate strategy is not just possible—it’s essential for responsible business model growth,” he concluded.
