Aice Reaffirms Support for the Development of the Golden Generation of Badminton at the SenengMinton Festival 2024
Jakarta, November 14, 2024 – Aice Group, a leading ice cream brand in Southeast Asia, has once again proven its leadership in the halal food and beverage industry by winning the Top Halal Award 2024 in the "Best Halal Ice Cream" category, solidifying its position as a top ice cream producer. The award recognizes Aice Group's commitment to producing high-quality ice cream with halal standards and innovative excellence, confirming its leadership in the market.
This Top Halal Award follows Aice's achievement from the previous year, when the brand was recognized nationally with the Top Halal Award 2023. The Top Halal Award is given to companies with the best halal image, based on the Top Halal Index survey by IHATEC Marketing Research, which evaluates thousands of renowned brands.
The award is one of the most prestigious in the food and beverage industry, given its stringent standards in assessing halal commitment and product quality. Aice Group has consistently maintained halal standards throughout its production processes and is committed to ensuring safety and comfort for its consumers.
Two main parameters determine the Top Halal ranking: Brand Index and Halal Index.
- Brand Index is built by awareness of halal brands, the last used or purchased brand, and the future purchase intention.
- Halal Index is based on four parameters: halal information and communication, perception of halal production processes, perception of halal raw materials, and perception of halal packaging or presentation.
Sylvana, Senior Brand Manager of Aice Group, expressed that receiving the Top Halal Award for two consecutive years is a proud achievement. She stated that this is a clear reflection of the hard work of the entire Aice team in maintaining the quality and halal status of their products.
"We want to ensure that our consumers not only enjoy high-quality ice cream at affordable prices but also have confidence that our products are truly halal. This award motivates us to continue providing the best for all our consumers," Sylvana said.
As part of its vision to become a trusted halal ice cream brand, Aice Group continues to innovate with new product variants to suit consumer tastes. Some of its popular products in 2024, such as Mochi Peach, Mochi Banana, Histeria Peach, and Crispy Ball, have received positive responses in the market.
Sylvana added, "Aice is committed to delivering a delightful and halal experience for our consumers. With the Top Halal 2024 award, we are even more motivated to create more flavor innovations that meet halal standards and are loved by Indonesian consumers."
The Top Halal Award is given to brands with the highest Top Halal Index scores, particularly those in the top three rankings in each category. The results were based on direct interviews with 1,700 respondents from six major cities: Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan, Makassar, and Balikpapan.
The majority of the respondents were millennials, with 87% being Muslim and 13% non-Muslim. They were asked to name the most memorable halal brands in 120 product categories, such as food, beverages, cosmetics, toiletries, restaurants, and Muslim-friendly tourism, without being given answer choices.
Evrin Lutfika, Director of IHATEC Marketing Research, mentioned that the Top Halal Award is a form of appreciation for companies ready to compete in the global halal market.
"We expect Aice's excellence to be a differentiation that encourages the company to make halal its primary competitive advantage. Importantly, this award is intended to help consumers choose leading and trusted halal brands," said Evrin.
Similarly, Anang Ghozali, Executive of the Steering Committee of Top Halal Award 2024, emphasized that building a halal brand is a key to success for businesses competing in the Muslim market, both domestically and internationally.
"With serious and continuous efforts to build halal branding, we can see how successful companies are in promoting products or services that align with Islamic principles, aiming to meet the needs and values of Muslim consumers," said Anang.
On the same occasion, Former Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, also appreciated the organization of the Top Halal Award 2024. According to him, this award significantly drives micro-entrepreneurship performance and the overall economy of Indonesia.
"This award brings great benefits to halal-preneurs and serves as an important momentum to promote the halal industry in Indonesia while strengthening Indonesia's vision as the global center of the halal industry," Sandi said.
He added that Indonesia's halal economy has enormous potential across sectors like food, beverages, and halal tourism, all of which contribute to national economic growth and job creation.
Aice recognizes the importance of adhering to strict halal procedures, following certifications from LPPOM MUI and government regulations, from raw material selection to product packaging. Every step in the production process meets the required halal qualifications, as part of Aice's commitment to ensuring that its products comply with halal principles and regulations, allowing Muslim consumers to enjoy them with confidence.
Aice Group has also implemented strict internal monitoring systems to ensure that all halal standards are met at every stage of production. Aice understands that its consumers trust the brand to deliver safe and halal products. Therefore, Aice has earned numerous awards from various parties, as well as certification from LPPOM MUI, ensuring that all its products meet the applicable requirements.
