Aice Makes History by Earning Superbrands for Five Consecutive Years
Jakarta, November 4, 2024 – Aice Group, a leading ice cream company in Southeast Asia, once again demonstrates its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) by receiving the prestigious TOP CSR Awards 2024 from Top Business Magazine. This award is concrete proof of Aice's dedication to developing innovative, sustainable CSR programs that positively impact the environment, society, and the economy.
At the 2024 TOP CSR Awards, Aice Group received two accolades: the TOP CSR Awards 2024 at the Four-Star Level, recognizing its exceptional quality, and the TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2024, awarded to Aice Group CEO Jack Wang. These awards honor Jack Wang's strong commitment to supporting and promoting CSR program innovations and initiatives at Aice Group. This recognition is not the first, as Aice has consistently won the TOP CSR Awards since 2021, marking four consecutive years of dedication to implementing innovative and sustainable CSR programs.
Aice expressed its gratitude to all those involved in achieving this success. "Aice Group is extremely proud to receive this award. The TOP CSR Awards 2024 is tangible evidence of Aice's dedication to continually innovating and contributing to society through various CSR programs. This award also reflects our commitment to balancing business growth with social responsibility and our efforts to create a positive, sustainable impact on the environment and community," said Jack Wang, CEO of Aice Group.
Innovative CSR Programs in 2023
Aice Group's success in 2024 stems from its consistent and continuous CSR efforts throughout 2023. One of its main initiatives was a collaboration with the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), where Aice supported sports by distributing 10,000 ice creams and 500 soccer balls to various football schools (SSBs) across Indonesia. This program is part of Aice's long-term commitment to advancing national sports and building a robust sports ecosystem in Indonesia, a critical evaluation factor for the TOP CSR Awards.
In 2023, Aice also strengthened its health and happiness initiatives through the #15HariAiceBerbagiSehat (15 Days of Aice Sharing Health) program, conducted monthly since 2021. The program aims to inspire healthy lifestyles in Indonesian communities through various activities, including ice cream distribution and health campaigns. As part of this commitment, Aice built a multi-purpose field in Lombok to support students’ education and physical activities, continuing its mission to enhance education and sports.
Significant Contributions During Ramadan
During Ramadan 2023, Aice ran a program distributing millions of ice creams to tens of thousands of villages across Indonesia, covering regions like Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Bali, under the theme Festive Dessert: Village Chiefs Sharing Blessings. In the same year, Aice also collaborated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), PSSI, the Indonesia Junior League (IJL), the Indonesian Army’s Disjasad, and Foodbank of Indonesia to support this initiative, proving its commitment to consistently spreading joy and supporting sports sustainably.
Continued Support for Education, Health, and Disaster Relief
Beyond its 2023 initiatives, Aice has consistently demonstrated its commitment to education, health, and disaster relief. The company served as the Official Ice Cream Partner for the FIFA World Cup Qatar and worked with Kemenpora to educate the public about healthy living and foster enthusiasm for sports from an early age.
In previous years, Aice supported disaster victims, including providing aid to relief posts during the Palu earthquake in 2020 and West Sulawesi in 2021. It also rebuilt schools affected by the 2019 Lombok earthquake. During the early COVID-19 pandemic, Aice donated PPE and ice cream to healthcare workers at 14 COVID-19 referral hospitals and one medical rest station. Between 2020 and 2022, Aice distributed over 67 million medical masks, produced in-house and provided free through government agencies, organizations, local shop owners, and other stakeholders as part of its social assistance efforts.
Commitment to Product Quality and Sustainability
Aice Group is not only focused on business growth but is also committed to product quality and sustainability. Its factories have earned various prestigious certifications, including the HACCP Food Safety Assurance System, ISO 9001:2008 Management Certification, and an "A" rating in halal assurance implementation. Moreover, Aice's Mojokerto factory uses modern technology, including robotic systems, to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, aligning with Industry 4.0 demands.
The TOP CSR Awards 2024 recognizes Aice Group's commitment to implementing innovative, sustainable CSR programs that positively impact society and the environment. Aice Group remains committed to increasing its contributions to building a better world.
At the same event, the Chairman of the TOP CSR Awards 2024, M. Lutfi Handayani, MM., MBA, stated that this year's theme was "Innovative CSR and ESG Programs to Support Sustainable Business Growth." CSR and ESG are expected not only to benefit society and the environment but also to align with business strategies to achieve targets for sustainable growth.
This theme encourages companies to implement ESG and CSR by adopting ISO 26000 SR and ESG standards. "If these responsibilities are carried out, many socio-economic issues in Indonesia can be resolved independently," he added.
The award criteria include alignment of CSR initiatives with sustainable business growth strategies, adoption level of CSR policies and programs under ISO 26000:2010 SR, CSR governance systems, flagship CSR program innovation, and identification of ESG materiality impacts on business and their management strategies for continuous sustainable growth.
"The TOP CSR Awards 2024 reaffirms Aice's position as a company not only focused on business growth but also committed to environmental sustainability and societal welfare. Through various CSR initiatives, such as the 15 Days of Sharing Health program and support for education in Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat, along with its extensive support for Indonesian sports, Aice has successfully created a significant and sustainable positive impact, providing a concrete example of how the private sector can contribute to national development," Jack concluded.
